Our Story
We've spent the last ten years in printing production, so we've seen a lot of canvases; cheap ones, expensive ones, everything in between. What drew us into this specifically is how much the process actually matters. The canvas weave, the ink, how tight and even the stretch is around the bars. It all shows up in the final piece, whether people consciously notice it or not.
Everything at Pixelbloom is printed in-house with museum-grade pigment inks, and every canvas is hand-stretched, one at a time. Nothing gets outsourced to a factory. When you order from us, you're getting something we made and checked ourselves before it shipped.
Giclée (pronounced zhee-clay) just means fine-art printing done with pigment inks instead of regular dye ink. It's the same method galleries and museums use for archival reproductions, because pigment holds its color for decades without fading or yellowing. It's a fancy word for a simple idea: print it right, and it actually lasts.
That's really the whole approach: do it right, do it by hand, don't cut corners just because no one would notice.
